I go to Fawcetts on a weekly basis for marine hardware. I like the family feel of the store. Walk in and always approached by an employee asking how they can help. They always seem to have what I can’t find at other local marine hardware suppliers, so much so I usually go there first. Great selection of nautical housewares and clothing. Why not 5 stars? Well no place is perfect.

Excellent for any sort of outboard work, even generator repair. These guys do superb work at a reasonable price and they will turn your repair around as quickly as you can imagine. I have taken my outboard motor there for various parts and adjustments over the years and I have always walked away completely satisfied with the workmanship and consistently fair labor cost.

We bought our dingy for an excellent price. It was used but had been repaired and patched flawlessly. We also got all of the supplies here and got great advice from staff willing to share their knowledge.

I saw the negative review and felt compelled to write one. Fawcett has been a stalwart boat supply store for me for years. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable as many of them are live-aboards. This is a true chandlery and I'd choose them over West marine any day! Perhaps the employee in question was having an off day...

Owner is top notch. He didn't mislead us when we were purchasing a new boat. We originally wanted a bigger Apex but he actually talked us into a more reasonable option that I can handle very easily and was better for the family.

The people at Fawcett are very friendly and they KNOW boats. Many are live-aboards and are very helpful. Whether you are outfitting your boat or you need to get that part that is impossible to find, Fawcett will very likely have it. It's a true chandlery and there are not many left. Can't wait to come back.

I wrote a prior review. I’m changing my review after a horrible experience with a sales person who completely offended me by changing her explanation of “store policy”, implying that she thought that I was asking about the return policy because I might try to have my daughter wear the sale shoes for sailing camp and try to return them. When I explained that it’s common sense that I wasn’t going to try to have her wear them, I just didn’t want to spend $80 on a pair of shoes that we only need for sailing camp, she went on to defend herself that she was justified in going on about how they can’t be worn because they have to be sold again. INSULTING and I will NEVER shop here again. Sad, because my family shops here often.
