what a poor way to do business ! it all started last year after getting a few estimates from several upholstery shops for the replacement of my interior of my boat some cheaper some more expensive , I decided to choose ohio boat works to complete my needs. we agreed upon a date for the boat to be dropped off . I decided to remove the interior myself and drop it off to mike , I dropped the interior off 3 weeks before the date we had agreed upon and agreed that he could have it until april 15th, giving him additional time to complete to make sure the boat would be completed in plenty of time before boating season would be upon us. well after several hundred excuses from to busy, material not here, staff issues, staff leaving and it goes on, I had planned on my boat going on vacation with me in june but I only had two pieces of interior back by than and no seats for me to sit on and was told that if I wanted to take the boat it looks like you will have to stand to drive it and than mike kind of laughed about it. so I had to cancel plans to the lake and book an entire new vacation ..real helpful since I had already paid the majority of money for the interior. so of course it took till july 10th to get rest of the interior back . after receiving the remainder or the interior I discovered that the stitching on the bolster seats is crooked , wrong pattern on the lower frt seats , bottom finish work or the seats not completed, irregular gaps on multiple areas, vinyl missing in several areas etc. after noticing this I contacted mike right away and he said just enjoy the boat rest of the year and in the spring I will make you 1st priority and fix any issue you have ! well to no surprise I contacted him in January to get the boat in he stated he was to busy it would be in a few months before he can work it in or just pull the interior back out and bring it to me I stated he was the person that screwed the job up he will be removing it. I contacted him again Friday per our previous conversation and told him I would be dropping my boat off to get fixed , stated not till may your not I don't have time or the room so after a heated conversation I decided to end the conversation with mike and now I am let no choice but to let it go and deal with the crappy overpriced interior , or wait till may and not have my boat back aging until who knows when or lastly take legal action. don't kame the same mistake I did steer clear of this guy I research and found out he also use to own sun fun marine and has a history of jerking folks around , found one review where he sold a new Excalibur boat that didn't have the new mercury motor in it ,had a jasper engine installed and sold as a new boat
