I have used Hales Marine for about 7 years now on my boats. They have excellent service work in the field and their shop location. Everyone one of their employees I have had the pleasure of dealing with have been knowledgeable and professional at their job. I take my boat from Parker Az. to Phoenix just for them to work on. Not impressed at all. I called and emailed with a few very simple questions to determine if I would use this shop. They refuse to answer any questions, and simply say you must bring your boat here and leave it here before we tell you anything. They did tell me the labor is $116 per hour and $174 minimum to look (this is more than the mobile mechanic charges by the way - and he is really good). I'm looking at doing a $7,000-$10,000 repair job between engine and paint/gel coat, so I have a few questions before I select a shop to spend this kind of money. Their loss.

This company was professional and polite, however really high priced. Also charged for using a card to pay for it. I used a debit card, but was charged $50 for using it! Also too high for a card that is same as cash. The annual service is $350 for an oil change, and for them to "look" at your boat. Everything they found I already knew about. So it truly is a $350 oil change. I will not be returning.
