I was new to boating and bought a 29’ tiara. I hired Carl to do the survey , cost me about $800 as I recall. The day I got the boat and took it out with my broker we discover a major issue (water leak) that Carl never told us about or discovered. After I confronted him about it I found out he had a relationship of some sort with the previous owner, acquaintances if not friends . Why hire someone if they aren’t going to give you a good survey. This guy did a poor job and I certainly would never recommend him to anyone .
