Derecktor Florida has over 35 years experience in construction & repair. The location was opened in South Florida in 1967 and covers more than 17 acres of the Dania Cutoff Canal. As South Florida’s most complete marine repair facility, Derecktor Florida caters mainly to power and sailing yachts, and acts as a pole of attraction in the busy Florida waters for a large fleet of cruising and racing yachts in need of repairs, or major refits. I would like to once again thank you for your time and effort as our project manager during our recent shipyard period. Due to our extensive cruising schedule we are always short on time when we enter a shipyard and our list of items tends to exceed the allotted time frame. This most recent experience was no different, but due to the planning, organization and follow through of you and your team at Derecktor we were able to accomplish what many would have considered impossible in such a short time. Everything on our task list including exterior paint, Quantum Zero Speed stabilization, and design and fabrication of new hydraulic tender bay doors down to the finishing details was completed on time, within budget and exceeded my expectations. It was a pleasure to work with you and your team of skilled and talented contractors on a daily basis. I was impressed with the level of enthusiasm and your commitment to the project. You and your team worked extended hours and weekends to make sure we met our deadline and I appreciate the extra effort by everyone involved. I look forward to returning to Derecktor in the future and once again working with you and your dedicated team of professionals.

I want to congratulate you and all of your people for an outstanding job in the way our fleet of yachts were treated during the 2012 winter months. Starting with the Harle, we asked the impossible and your yard made it happen. The list of items we accomplished is amazing. The project was on time and the work performed was of the highest quality. At times we had all seven of our yachts in the yard and at no time did I feel any of them received less that 100% attention. Again, the quality of work and the professionalism shown by your personnel was the very best. I think the biggest compliment of all is that every one of my crew on all the yachts want to return next winter. They all felt that this was one of the best experiences they have had with a shipyard. I want to add a special thanks to Ken Imondi. He was always on top of everything- When asked for something, no matter how large or how small, his answer was always “when and where do you want it?” He made things happen and I never worried about anything with him in charge. We are now making our plans for the 2012-2013 winter season and I will let Ken know when to expect us!
