Started in 1989, Marine Electric Systems has earned a reputation as one of the premier marine electrical companies in Annapolis, MD. MES operates according to a “Quality First” philosophy, and our ABYC certified technicians are prepared to tackle any electrical issues, from initial design to refits and upgrades. Our mission is to protect invested value and maximize your safety and your time on the water. By using the highest quality equipment, materials, and workmanship, MES is able to provide the best possible marine electrical system design, installation, and service. This commitment has earned us a list of repeat customers with large, high quality vessels, many which are serious blue water cruisers. Our design, installation and service objectives are based on the premise that a good, serious cruising vessel should have a simply controlled and easily monitored electrical system. Our full suite of services includes: system integration, batteries, alternative energy, electronics navigation/communication, chargers/alternators, windlass/thrusters, and lighting.

If I could give Patrick and his team 10 stars, I would! It is far too infrequent in the marine industry to find a company with such high integrity, enthusiasm, and exceptional skill. Patrick and his team have all of those attributes, and then some. I could not be happier with the extensive retrofit of my Outrage Boston Whaler performed over multiple projects over the course of late 2015/early 2016. The retrofit included state of the art SIMRAD electronics (with every bell and whistle), amazing sound system, fully integrated autopilot, extensive LED lighting installation and design, anchor windlass, offshore outriggers, electric downriggers, and electric offshore teaser reels. Honestly, I am not an easy person to fully please nor impress, but with Patrick and his team, I am both 100%. To me, it is not just the end product that is important, it is the full life cycle of the project - from project vision to completion and then on to post-project technical support. Patrick and his team nail it in every respect. Patrick listens to your vision, provides his expert opinion with easy flowing and friendly discussion. Once the vision is complete, he provides very a detailed project quotation with a not-to-exceed cost. Once the project starts (which has always been on time), he provides frequent updates via text messages with pictures and videos showing progress, along with any questions he has. Frequent discussions happen at the end of each day to ensure all project items are on track and expectations are being met. Once complete, he provides extensive digital photos of the work performed via email. It was always a pleasant surprise to see the projects come in under or at budget based on the original quotation. When was the last time you saw that, regardless of industry? Additionally, Patrick's availability is second to none for post-project technical support. He truly cares about his customers and his installations, seemingly as if the boat was his own. I could not be happier with Patrick and his team and they will surely be my go-to guys for everything for years to come.

If you like first class work at a fair cost, these guys are your marine electricians. I had a complicated retrofit project and they guided me to the finish line. Top notch group.

Honest and professional, these guys are probably the best shop around! LOVE them! They are the only techs I will let touch my boat if its an electrical issue or something sensitive.

Great techs. They do great work but also freely give advice on how to maintain the boat so that you don't have to spend a ton of money on repairs. I have had them work on multiple boats and every transaction has been fantastic.
