HOME OF THE PONTOON PEDAL BOAT It was in 2009 when Ahlstrand shipped an old "paddle wheel style" pedal boat to the Apex factory and asked if they could duplicate the propulsion system and build a pontoon boat around it. They came up with the first in a series of prototypes that were shipped back to Ahlstrand's to be tested and tweaked. In 2010 Ahlstrand started selling a 14' six person pontoon pedal boat. These boats have been very well received. Ahlstrand has shipped them from Florida to California. The 18' Paddle Qwest is Ahlstrand's answer to our customer's needs for a family and party boat. It outsold our 14' Paddle Qwest total in 2016, 2017, 2018, & 2019!
