Founded in 1986, Off The Hook Yacht Services specializes in the service, repair, and refit of yachts of all sizes and haulouts up to 70 tons, including catamarans, deep draft sailboats, sportfishing boats, and cruising powerboats. Located in Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina along the Northeast Cape Fear River, Off The Hook Yacht Services offers skilled repair and service in all departments at their boatyard adjacent to the 70 slip Cape Fear Marina with dockage for vessels up to 175’. ENGINES & SYSTEMS Off The Hook Yacht Services provides superior quality mechanical maintenance, repair, and repower for all vessel types. Experienced technicians are ready to address your needs from standard engine service to a full repower. Capabilities stretch beyond powerplants and into auxiliary and electrical systems. Transmission, running gear, generator, air conditioning, refrigeration, DC and AC electrical, thruster, and steering system installation, maintenance, and repair are all within the expertise of the team. Accurate diagnosis, appropriate recommendations, and quality workmanship are standard at Off The Hook Yacht Services. An on-site mechanical shop affords Off The Hook Yacht Services technicians easy access to specialized tools for efficient repairs. PAINT & FIBERGLASS Off The Hook Yacht Services paint and fiberglass craftsmen perform quality paint and fiberglass repair and refinishing to all areas of your boat. Cosmetic to structural, arising from collision, age, wear and tear or modification, the Off The Hook Yacht Services team can assess the nature of your repair and appropriately return your boat to its previous or desired form. A 110’ climate controlled paint booth is on site for an enclosed painting environment with filtration and exhaust fans. HAUL OUT & MOBILE SERVICE Off The Hook Yacht Services utilizes a wide beam 70-ton Marine Travellift for haulout services. Certified steel and concrete travellift piers extend into the Cape Fear River, where a deep lift well resides for receiving your vessel. Up to 90’ length overall (LOA), both power and sail can be hauled for drydock service. Wide beam and catamaran vessels, up to 24’ 9" are accommodated with ease as are deep draft sailing vessels, up to 9’, with shipping channel depth access from sea. Off The Hook Yacht Services travellift capabilities also include hauling to and from shipping trailers with boatyard services available to prepare your vessel on either end of a transport. Commissioning and decommissioning are also available.
