Big yard that is very professional. I'd recommend if you are a serious yacht owner with a large vessel.

I used CSR for ~4 years for pretty much everything on my 36' sailboat, before moving it to Anacortes. They are consistently on-time and on or even under budget. Nigel is helpful, does a great job responding to email and questions, and helps to troubleshoot issues. These guys are smart, helpful, an all-round great yard. Highly recommended.

I took my 2001 Chaparral in to have the out drive sanded and repainted as it had some serious corrosion issues. Not only was the work done in the spring during their busiest season, it was completed prior to the promised finished date. All the work was beyond and above what we had discussed. I went and picked up my boat after hours and dropped a check off for the original estimate. At this point, I was very happy with the entire process. But... then CSR sent a check a week after I picked up my boat for an overpayment for the services rendered. It is extremely rare to find a business that operates with this amount of honesty and quality of workmanship. Highly highly recommend.

We did a big restoration of our Grand Banks here. Decks, galley, paint, electronics, and engine overhaul. I don't think there was a service we didn't use and we're back afloat so it was a job well done. The boat is beautiful and looks like new. Only thing I would note is that it was expensive but we were expecting this given the scale of the work. We trust other local techs for minor work but for the major stuff we definitely go here.

I used to use this yard all the time for my Searay when Seaview was there. CSR took over and their policy now is and I quote the arrogant guy "Unless we have a substantial stake in the work on your boat we won't haul it out!". That means if you don't use their crap mechanics or you are a DIY boater forget going here. Go to Canal Boat Yard, they actually want your business ...

CSR is by far the best boatyard I've worked with. They gave me an accurate estimate of all the work I asked for and came in under budget. It's nice to work with honest people that enjoy boat projects. I have used other yards in the seattle area but no more. Want a bonus! No layday charges while they're working on your boat. That means you get to do all the other projects on your list while they handle the heavy lifting. Everyday I was in the yard an employee was friendly and offered advice on whatever project I was tackling. Most of them would see me struggling and say try this rubbing compound or this technique actually giving me a little of whatever they were talking about or demonstrating. This is above and beyond! Also there was a review that said they don't stand by there mistakes. Not true, they told a prop guy the wrong info and when we were going over the work they noticed the error and brought it up to me. I may not have noticed it but they said they would take care of it. Honesty and integrity, two qualities that are hard to find in a service driven business these days are present here for sure. Bring your boat here if you don't want to be haggled and want to be treated like a friend not a wallet. I never write reviews but these guys deserved one.
