Ahab Marine Services TA, boat and cargo services are SAMS accredited marine surveyors; ABYC Certified master technicians, electrical, corrosion standards and systems; certified level II thermographers; members of IIMS, IAMI, NAFPA, ABYC, etc. Trust the professionals at Ahab Marines Services who are listed SAMS surveyors and ABYC Certified technicians. We specialize in "corrosion" Surveys, "cargo" surveys and Thermal Imaging Surveys. We also do "condition and value" marine / boat surveys and yacht surveys for pre purchase, insurance, financing and appraisal purposes. Beyond that we are experienced in damage appraisal and probable cause as well as experienced expert witnesses. Turnaround time until the finished survey is mailed to the survey purchaser is usually 7 days after the last inspection, payment is received and agreement signed. All Photos from boat/ yacht survey are included in our report and also provided on disc for your convenience. Only after customer service, continued education is our hallmark. Ahab Marine is available to perform marine surveys Wednesday to Saturday each week. While we do not work in the field Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, we are generally available for consultation by phone from 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week.

The best marine surveyor money can buy. He;s been a surveyor for decades. His prices are very reasonable, as there are a lot of surveyors out there with less experience and higher rates. He identified several issues that were ultimately resolved, but could have cost me thousands of dollars in repairs down the road.

My wife and I bought a boat and had them survey it to make sure there were no surprises. It was very clear from the beginning that this was money well spent. He found potnetial issues in places we never would have thought to check. He methodically went through all of the boat's systems. What we appreciated was the time he took to explain what he was checking, and why. We will use him for any future purchases!
