Seven of us were renting a house on the river for a week and were excited to rent a pontoon boat from this marina. We even invited some extended family over to join us. The website needs to be updated because the marina was open until 6 on Sunday even though the website says 5. This location also rents kayaks, which was not listed on the website. Had we known this, we would have definitely rented kayaks earlier in the week. On our second to last day, we rented the pontoon boat. We went in Sunday evening to reserve the boat and overheard the group bringing it in mention some type of buzzing noise but didn't think much of it. We rented the boat for $165 on a Monday for 4 hrs. The lady was really nice and told us we'd also have to pay for the gas we used which usually amounted to $13. Monday we went to pick up the boat and my uncle noticed the gas tank said half full. He brought this to the tech's attention and he said the gauge is wrong, it has at least 3/4 of a tank in it because he took it to fill it up that morning. So we left and didn't even make it back to the river house to pick up everyone before this loud constant buzzing noise went off and shut down the engine. Had to turn the boat off and back on to get it to stop. We got it running again and stopped at the public dock next to our house to pick up everyone. When we left the house, the buzzing thing happened again and everything shut down. We messed around a bit and figured out it was happening when we went above 43 rpm's. We called the tech and he said he didn't know what it was but we could bring it back if we want. We did not want to get stranded somewhere, so we dropped everyone back off at the house (kids were very upset) and took the boat back. The tech went out in it by himself for maybe 5 minutes. Came back in and said he got the noise too. Said we could leave the boat there or take it back out and keep it under 43 rpm's. We couldn't let the whole fam down...we took it back out. By now we were an hour and a half into our 4 hour rental. The tech did say we could keep it an extra 30 minutes. Unfortunately going that slow was not very fun on the tubes. We made the best of it and brought the boat back. Talked to the tech who was the only one there before closing. We asked if we could get some free kayak rentals the next day and he said he didn't think that would be a problem, but he had to talk to the manager, Scott, before approving it and he would call us the next day. Today is the next day and we did not get a call. We called around 1pm and Scott said we probably hit some muck and overheated the engine which is absolutely not true since the group before us was complaining of the same issue. Scott said he would give us the gas for free, which is "like $20". I highly doubt we used that much gas based on the lady saying most people avg $13...we never even got to run near full speed. Just wanted to put this review out there...not to deter people, but to let them know what they could be getting into. Something seems shady here.

They tell you one thing on the phone then something else when you get there. We were told it was $10 to launch and take out. Once we got there and we're stuck we were told it is actually $10 for one, which means $20 to launch and take out. Plus the guy was rude to us. They are taking advantage of the public launch being out of commission, but there are two public launches so no need to come here in the future.
